Multiplex filters are built for continuous flow applications where cleaning shutdowns are not permitted. The manifolded filter assembly allows the flow to be switched back and forth between multiple filter vessels, allowing one to be serviced while others are in use. Multiplex filters provide protection for mechanical equipment by removing foreign matter from the connected piping system, reducing overall operating costs.

At Rosedale Products, our Multiplex Strainers and Bag Filters provide a better solution for your trouble free, continuous operation project needs. For more information regarding our Multiplex Filter options or call us at 800-821-5373 and we will gladly answer your specific questions.

Multiplex Filter Model Options

Multiplexes are header mounted filter vessels with isolation valves to service a particular filter while the others remain in operation. From 2 to 10 single bag or cartridge vessels can be mounted in parallel on inlet and outlet manifolds. With a variety of unique filter and strainer filter options, Rosedale's multiplex products provides uninterupted flow solutions based on your project’s specifications. We offer model options in several materials and filter technologies for your continuous operation needs. Here are a few examples:

Dual Unit Multiplex Model 8 - For Flow Rates to 200 gpm

  • 2 Rosedale Model 8 units mounted on 2 or 3’’ Headers with stand
  • 2” butterfly valves on inlet and outlet of Individual Filter Housings
  • 2” or 3" ANSI Class 150 RFSO Connections on Headers
  • 1” NPT Drain on filters
  • Carbon or Stainless Steel Construction
  • 3 bolt Cover on individual filters
  • Stainless Steel Filter Bag Support Baskets
  • Accepts Trade Size #2 Filter Bags or Cartridges
  • Basket Surface Area 4.4 ft2 Each (8.8 ft2 total)

  • 3 Rosedale Model 8 units mounted on 3 or 4’’ Headers with stand
  • 2” butterfly valves on inlet and outlet of Individual Filter Housings
  • 3” or 4" ANSI Class 150 RFSO Connections on Headers
  • 1” NPT Drain on filters
  • Carbon or Stainless Steel Construction
  • 3 bolt Cover on individual filters
  • Stainless Steel Filter Bag Support Baskets
  • Accepts Trade Size #2 Filter Bags or Cartridges
  • Basket Surface Area 4.4 ft2 Each (13.2 ft2 total)

The Rosedale multiplex is a better solution, and offers many benefits:

  • Separate valves are used, all filters can be isolated individually
  • Valves use the standard butterfly design, known for their effective seal, low pressure drop, and low cost.
  • Any of the valves can be serviced individually, without need to disturb the other valves or piping.
  • Valves are soft-seated to provide bubble-tight closure.
  • A variety of seal materials is available for use with several hard-to-handle fluids.
  • Mechanical stops assure that the valves are completely open or closed.
  • Vents in filter covers and drain ports in filter housing speed evacuation and filling.
